Global University Systems acquires London College of Creative Media

London, 13 January 2018 - Global University Systems today announced the acquisition of the London College of Creative Media (LCCM), an institution which specialises in music, creative writing, coding and creative entrepreneurship programmes. The acquisition will enable GUS to support LCCM through its next phase of growth and ensure students are able to complete their courses without interruption through LCCM’s existing collaboration with the Open University.

Aaron Etingen, Founder and CEO of GUS, said: “At Global University Systems, we look for institutions that can complement our network and bring something new to the group. We believe there is very strong synergy between our group and LCCM, as well as a good potential for cross-fertilisation among our existing institutions. We are very proud to welcome LCCM to the GUS network and will be delighted to continue supporting their students and existing academic partnerships.”

Alongside its work in the music industry, LCCM has built a solid reputation for innovation not least with its expansion into fast growing areas such as writing, coding and how these converge in the media and entertainment industries. While the college will retain its academic independency, the acquisition will enable LCCM to enjoy an enhanced environment as the impact of GUS ownership takes place.

Darius Khwaja, Principal of LCCM, said: “We are happy to be joining GUS and the exciting opportunities it will offer our students and staff. The college will be joining a group that has existing recognised strengths in the delivery of high quality programmes and robust quality processes. We are now looking forward to working with GUS to enhance our academic offer, bring further innovation to teaching and learning and provide our students with even better outcomes”.
