GUS Brands Nominated for Education Investor Awards 2015

Global University Systems (GUS) is proud to announce that it has been nominated for Education Business of the Year in the upcoming Education Investor Awards 2015. In a demonstration of the group’s position in the education sector, GUS brand London School of Business and Finance (LSBF) was also nominated in the same category. The awards are held annually by Education Investor Magazine and have become a key event for recognising innovation in the education sector.

In the past 12 months, Global University Systems demonstrated a sustainable growth internationally. As well as the recent major acquisition of The University of Law, GUS welcomed Vancouver-based University Canada West and the London Academy of Trading as member institutions. In addition, GUS has built and strengthened partnerships with a number of institutions across Europe, North America, Africa and Asia.

The recent developments contributed to the consolidation of GUS’s market position as one of the leading UK private higher education providers of professional legal education and accounting qualifications with a diversified course portfolio across ten institutions. The group has also demonstrated strong reliance to comply with rigorous quality standards in every country where it operates.

Professor Maurits van Rooijen, Chief Academic Officer at GUS, said: “We believe dynamic organisations like GUS should take the front seat in the globalisation of higher education and lead a constructive form of academic collaboration internationally. Having two nominations in the Education Investor Awards demonstrates that our group has a solid business structure which enables us to deliver quality programmes, continually improve operations and maintain a sustainable level of growth year on year.

According to Prof van Rooijen, keeping the focus on students is a vital way to ensure success in the competitive higher education sector. “Serving the interests of our students is our main priority. This enables us to develop a successful business and provide them with sought-after skills that greatly enhances their career prospects in the knowledge-led economy”, he said.

The Education Investor Awards 2015 ceremony takes place on 11 November in Central London.
