KPMG in India and InterActive launch joint initiative to deliver ACCA tuition online

New Delhi

KPMG in India and global e-learning organisation InterActive have announced a joint initiative to deliver online accountancy and finance programmes to students and professionals in India. This project paves the way for the creation of KPMG in India & InterActive, providing finance and accountancy professionals with the skills and qualifications sought by global employers.

The first programme to be offered under the initiative will be online training which prepares participants for the globally recognised Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification. The programme is designed to deliver a learning model through which students can access online lectures broadcast live from InterActive’s studios, along with a series of masterclasses from KPMG in India. InterActive is an award-winning online education organisation and a part of international educational provider Global University Systems.

Students will be able to benefit from the support and guidance of experienced KPMG in India accountants, who can contextualise theory with real-life application and provide relevant insights into the Indian accounting industry.

Alongside tuition and training sessions, the KPMG in India & InterActive suite includes live Q&A sessions, marked mock exams, a course library, online study materials, and access to a global community of students online.

Vitaly Klopot, chief operating officer at InterActive, said: “We believe online education has the potential to change lives. Through KPMG in India & InterActive’s distance learning tools, future accountants and finance professionals will be given the opportunity to secure highly sought-after qualifications and advance their careers to the next level.

“Research shows that the ACCA qualification is one of the most recommended of its kind for professional accountants, so we are delighted to be working with KPMG in India to deliver this programme and look forward to increasing the number of ACCA-qualified professionals in India.”

According to Mr Klopot, the alliance is likely to make the courses more accessible and affordable for India’s growing community of aspiring accountants.

“KPMG in India will bring a professional insight into employability and help contextualise theoretical and practical principles at both local and global levels,” added Mr Klopot.

Andrew Malley, Global University Systems’ director of strategic international development, remarked: “This new initiative addresses a very contemporary issue in global education. By joining forces with KPMG in India, we bring a vital industry input into what is normally an academically driven subject area. If students want an established accountancy education on a distinct platform, then KPMG in India & InterActive is possibly the best in the market.”

Gaurav Vohra, Partner – Accounting Advisory Services, KPMG in India, added: “KPMG in India is excited at the opportunity to provide one of the industry leading mentorship and skills training programmes for online ACCA students in cooperation with InterActive.

“Having been an established arm of KPMG International since 1993, KPMG in India will bring the best levels of expertise and insight to this initiative, and we look forward to supporting India’s next generation of future accountancy and finance professionals.”

Tuition fees will start at INR 5,600 for ACCA Foundation level papers, up to INR 20,000 for the more advanced levels.

The first KPMG in India and InterActive programme will go live in August 2016. For more details, please visit:
