LSBF Singapore Extends Partnership with Wuxi Vocational Institute of Commerce for the Second Year

LSBF Singapore Extends Partnership with Wuxi Vocational Institute of Commerce for the Second Year

On 11 December 2020, LSBF Singapore conducted a virtual opening ceremony to welcome the second cohort of students in China participating in LSBF’s collaboration with Wuxi Vocational Institute of Commerce. These students will be studying the Global ACCA programme.

The event was held at 9am with an opening speech by Ms Zhu Qinhua, Principal and Chancellor of the college, followed by opening addresses from Mr Rathakrishnan Govind, CEO of LSBF Singapore, as well as Ms Yvonne Goh, Head of the School of Professional Education at LSBF Singapore.

Speeches from the teachers and student representatives then followed. It was felt that the students had strong aspirations to improve their English language skills through this collaboration and partnership, one which focuses on the delivery of ACCA courses via LSBF Singapore.

Deans of the college, as well as the School of Accounting and Finance, were also present. The event ended on a high note with many feeling that LSBF would be able to deliver the classes even better in the year to come - via blended learning, online teaching and live broadcasts - even as the post-COVID new normal in education emerges.

This collaboration was the first that paved the way for the LSBF and Wuxi Vocational College ACCA programme to be registered in the Chinese MOE, and for students to opt to study at LSBF after the ‘Gao Kao’ national exams.

Mr Rathakrishnan Govind commented: “Learning from the past year, and the new normal in education through digital means, LSBF is committed to delivering the programme better than we did before. We pride ourselves on providing only the best quality education to our students. LSBF does this by making sure our academic lecturers are of top quality, and that our students are well prepared for a successful career upon completing their education with LSBF.”
