On Friday 13 October, University Canada West was awarded the Platinum award in the Advertising – Online Ad (Single) category for its That’s Boss video, developed in collaboration with Victoria’s Riptide Studios. The judging panel, which was comprised of industry experts, evaluated over 10,000 entries to identify the companies and individuals whose works exemplified excellence and that had propelled their industries forward.

On Wednesday 18 October, Professor Dr Maurits van Rooijen, President of the University of Europe for Applied Sciences’ Dubai Campus and Chief Academic Officer of GGG, and Professor Dahlia Mahmoud and Dr Mustafa Al Helwi, UE colleagues, visited GITEX, the world’s largest trade fair for tech and startups.

On Tuesday 10 October and Wednesday 11 October, Professor Maurits van Rooijen, Chief Academic Officer at GUS and President of UE Dubai, addressed the Future Innovation Summit held in Dubai. He shared valuable insights on Edutech and introduced the new UE Dubai Campus.

On Tuesday 26 September, Cyndi McLeod, CEO of GUS Canada and Dr Annie Lu, Vice President – China, International Business Development for GUS, attended a dinner reception celebrating the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

On Friday 6 October, UPES faculty member Dr Ashish Mathur was conferred with a Careers360 Faculty Research Award 2023 for his outstanding work.

Last week, the London Academy of Trading formed a partnership with ExSIF, the University of Exeter’s Student Investment Fund, a student-led society that promotes understanding and interest in the world of investing and finance.
