University of Niagara Falls signs SDG Accord

In January, University of Niagara Falls Canada signed the Sustainable Development Goals Accord, joining more than 360 universities across the globe.
Spearheaded by EUAC, the accord is a commitment made by colleges and universities to help achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. By signing the accord, UNF has committed to embed the 17 interconnected goals into its education, research, leadership, operations, administration, and engagement activities.
David Gray, provost and vice president, academic, University of Niagara Falls Canada, said: “The SDG Accord is a platform for action and by signing it, UNF is acknowledging our commitment to the wellbeing of our students, staff, and community. We’re aware of the challenges facing the world and UNF is willing to take action to be part of the solution.”
As a signatory, UNF will have to report annually on its individual progress and share any learnings with other institutions globally. For more information about the accord, visit SDGAccord.org.
