FutureLearn partners with Università Cattolica to launch the University’s first fully online postgraduate master’s programmes
Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore has launched twelve fully online postgraduate master’s programmes in collaboration with FutureLearn, marking Italy’s first partnership between a traditional university and an international online learning platform. Delivered in Italian and designed for graduates and working professionals, the programmes cover areas including geopolitics, management, HR, marketing, and digital communication.
Part of the university’s 2026-28 Strategic Plan, the initiative responds to rising demand for flexible, lifelong learning driven by technological and demographic change. The asynchronous format combines on-demand study with structured deadlines, academic supervision, tutors, and online interaction.
Developed to international instructional design standards, the programmes emphasise academic quality, innovative content, and career compatibility. Each course awards 60 credits and can be completed in 12 months full-time or 24 months part-time. Applications close on 30 August 2026, with courses beginning on 7 September. Merit-based financial support is available for eligible students.
“The collaboration with FutureLearn enables us to combine academic excellence with advanced digital teaching models, offering flexible courses designed for graduates and professionals, whilst upholding the high standards that characterise our university, this is an education that does not end with a degree, but spans the entire course of one’s life,” said Elena Beccalli, Rector of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.
