On Monday 4 December, Cyndi McLeod, CEO of GUS Canada, took the stage as a keynote speaker at the Maclean’s Ideas Summit, highlighting the innovative spirit and leadership of both GUS Canada and University of Niagara Falls Canada.
From Wednesday 25 to Saturday 28 October, GUS Canada participated in the China Annual Conference and Exposition for International Education (CACIE) in Beijing. The event attracted over 4,000 attendees and 371 institutions under the theme ‘Advance and Connect: Converging the Power of Education.’
In October, Global University Systems was honoured to accept the ‘Endless Abroad Social Impact’ Award in recognition of its $400,000 Turkey Relief Scholarship Fund campaign.
On Wednesday 18 October, University Canada West, Canadian College of Technology and Business and GUS Canada Leadership Team warmly welcomed delegations from Tianjin Hengshen Education Group from China.
On Tuesday 10 October and Wednesday 11 October, Professor Maurits van Rooijen, Chief Academic Officer at GUS and President of UE Dubai, addressed the Future Innovation Summit held in Dubai. He shared valuable insights on Edutech and introduced the new UE Dubai Campus.
On Tuesday 26 September, Cyndi McLeod, CEO of GUS Canada and Dr Annie Lu, Vice President – China, International Business Development for GUS, attended a dinner reception celebrating the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
The international education community focused its attention on the PIEoneer Awards, held on September 22, 2023, at the Hilton Bankside in London, United Kingdom, and broadcast online. GUS Canada’s CEO, Cyndi McLeod, received high honours, winning in the category of ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Industry.’
On September 20, 2023, a landmark event titled ‘Education for Sustainable Development: Closing the Digital Divide in Ibero-America’ unfolded, jointly organised by the International Youth Organization for Ibero-America and Global University Systems.
