Global University Systems announce that the Group and three of its institutions have been shortlisted for four awards in three categories at The ESG & Sustainability Awards 2024. This recognition highlights its commitment toward impactful change in education and equality.
On Monday 14 August, GUS Canada announced the appointment of Glenn Craney as the inaugural Chief Operating Officer (COO). Glenn joins GUS Canada from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) where he served as Chief Strategy Officer and brings over 25 years of experience in higher education, including roles as Assistant Deputy Minister, Postsecondary Education at the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities, and as the founding Executive Director of the Ontario Council on Articulation and Transfer (ONCAT).
On Wednesday 5 July, 17 teams working across different continents and GUS brands joined together for the inaugural GUS AI Hackathon. The event was initiated and hosted by Anastasia Fraser, Chief Growth Officer at GUS.
This week, GUS Gateway, GUS’s agent portal, was shortlisted as a finalist in the Digital Innovation of the Year Student Recruitment Category at The PIEoneer Awards 2023.
On Wednesday 24 May, Cyndi McLeod, CEO at GUS Canada, was selected as a finalist in the PIEoneer Awards 2023 in the ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Industry’ category. The PIEoneer Awards recognise innovation and achievement in international education, focusing on individuals and organisations that are driving industry standards, increasing engagement, and redefining the student experience.
From Friday 5 to Monday 8 May, GUS Canada attended International Consultants for Education and Fairs (ICEF) in Vancouver. The conference brought together educational providers and student recruitment partners. GUS Canada facilitated meaningful connections and discussions through several hosted events and initiatives that took place during the conference.
