Global University Systems acquires Y SCHOOLS

Global University Systems is delighted to announce that it has acquired the higher education and research activities of Y SCHOOLS, marking an important step in the Group’s continued international expansion and strengthening its presence in France.
The acquisition supports Y SCHOOLS continued development and reinforces its long-term financial sustainability, while providing the institution with the investment, expertise and international reach of an established higher education group renowned for academic innovation, global student recruitment and employability-focused education.
The acquisition enables the continuation of Y SCHOOLS’ higher education and research activities. These include the South Champagne Business School (SCBS) and the School of Design in Troyes; the School of Tourism in Troyes and Metz; and the International School of Management and Entrepreneurship (EIME) in Cameroon.
The immediate priority will be to ensure continuity for students and staff, while building on the existing strengths of the institutions and supporting their ongoing development in response to the evolving needs of students.
Aaron Etingen, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Global University Systems said:
“We are delighted to welcome Y SCHOOLS into the Global University Systems ecosystem.
“Global University Systems was founded on the belief that excellence and innovation should go hand in hand in higher education, and that philosophy underpins the highly selective approach we take to the institutions we partner with.
“This acquisition marks a significant milestone as we continue to strengthen our presence and deepen our engagement in France. We look forward to working closely with the Y SCHOOLS team and supporting the important role it continues to play in the Troyes and Aube region and beyond.”
Julien Renoult, Director General of Y SCHOOLS said:
“By joining Global University Systems, Y SCHOOLS’ higher education and research activities build on a strong academic heritage to open a new chapter in their history within an international network of high-quality institutions.
“This acquisition further enhances our position within French higher education and enables us to continue offering current and prospective students rigorous programmes that are globally oriented and closely aligned with the needs of employers and local communities.”
