Global University Systems gathers education leaders at GUS Partners Conference 2025 in Cannes

This week, the GUS Partners Conference 2025 brought together education leaders, partners, and industry experts at Le Majestic Hotel in Cannes for three days of strategic discussions and collaboration.
The conference opened with an engaging evening featuring highlights from the Bollywood film Mannu Kya Karegga (What Will Mannu Do?), which will be released later in 2025, presented by Sharad Mehra, Regional CEO – Asia & Australia, Global University Systems. The night continued with a musical performance, pre-dinner cocktails, and a keynote panel on aligning education with purpose, featuring notable speakers such as Iris Knobloch, President of the Cannes Film Festival, and Josh Berger, Chairman of Battersea Entertainment.
Aaron Etingen, Executive Chairman and CEO of Global University Systems, delivered a keynote address emphasising the vital role of innovation and collaboration in shaping the future of higher education. Throughout the conference, experts explored key topics, including adapting higher education to global uncertainties, universities’ role in community revitalisation, and the future of AI-powered learning. Distinguished speakers from institutions such as the University of Chichester, University of Roehampton, Canterbury Christ Church University, University of Surrey, Penn State Dickinson Law, and Imperial College Business School shared valuable insights into the evolving education landscape.
With dynamic panels, networking sessions, and team-building activities, the conference fostered meaningful connections, culminating in a closing address by Professor Maurits van Rooijen, Chief Academic Officer of Global University Systems.
