FutureLearn partners with University of Leeds to Launch ‘Click Start’ programme

This week, FutureLearn announced the launch of the University of Leeds’ ‘Click Start’ programme on its platform. By the end of August, up to twenty-nine free courses will be available, addressing the UK’s digital skills gap.
The ‘Click Start’ programme equips learners with a wide range of digital skills, from technical proficiency to professional and personal development. The courses prepare individuals for fast-growing tech sectors such as AI, software development, and blockchain. Developed by the Institute of Coding (IoC) and funded by Nominet, ‘Click Start’ collaborates with universities, employers, and charity partners to support underrepresented groups, including women and those facing social or economic barriers.
Commenting on the initiative, Ian Howell, FutureLearn’s Managing Director, said: “We’re excited to work with the University of Leeds on this important initiative. With a growing portfolio of over 200 IT & computer science courses, hosting their Click Start courses on our platform felt like a natural partnership.”
