UPES fuels startup dreams with funding boost at The Pitch
The event brought together 12 early-stage startups from prestigious institutions, including IITs, BITS Pilani, SRM University, and the National University of Singapore, alongside UPES’s own founders. Startups pitched ideas spanning renewable energy, health tech, edtech, and deeptech security.
Among those securing funding were Envinova Smartech (solar solutions), Genetico Research (rare disease diagnostics), Othniels Experiment Labs (AI-powered learning tools), and Reagvis (deepfake detection technology). The startups were evaluated by a diverse jury of academic leaders and investors who assessed pitches on innovation, scalability, and impact.
Launched in 2021, the UPES Runway incubator has already supported over 250 startups and attracted around £1.7 million in funding from agencies like DST, MeitY, and NITI Aayog. The Pitch reflects UPES’s mission to integrate entrepreneurship into higher education and empower students and innovators to build sustainable ventures.
