LSBF Singapore Expands its Curriculum Development with Amazon in Web Services Partnership
LSBF Singapore is thrilled to collaborate with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to unlock new opportunities in cloud computing education that will prepare students for high-demand jobs in the IT industry. This partnership not only forges a clear connection to the job market for students but also familiarises them with the world’s leading computing platform.
LSBF will adopt the cloud computing curricula from AWS to develop the next generation of cloud professionals. It will be offered as part of the Diploma in Data Analytics programme. Currently, LSBF is working towards expanding the scope of collaboration and integrating this into other modules and programmes that have plans to be rolled out in the near future.
All students participating in the Diploma in Data Analytics programme will be enrolled in AWS Educate and provided with AWS Promotional Credits to gain hands-on experience using AWS cloud technology. Students will also participate in Build On 2021, an annual hackathon hosted by AWS that invites students from vocational institutions, polytechnics, and universities to solve real business challenges through cloud computing. At the event, students can also network with AWS partners and customers to seek employment opportunities, including full-time roles or internships.
“LSBF Singapore aims to bridge the education to career divide by adequately preparing students with the skills and knowledge needed to enter high-demand technology fields”, commented Preethi Kesavan, Head of the School of Technology at LSBF in Singapore.
