TLG forms partnership with Bishop Grosseteste University

On Thursday 14 December, The Language Gallery and Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU) signed an educational partnership agreement.

Professor Scott Fleming, Deputy Vice Chancellor at TLG; Rob Boast, Pro Vice-Chancellor at BGU; Boaz Arbel and Nitin Gupta, Portfolio Managing Directors at Global University Systems, and Pranav Brahmbhatt, Managing Director at TLG, were present at the signing.

The partnership will initially see TLG launch a certificate in Higher Education in Business at Birmingham and Nottingham, with future expansion to Manchester and Leeds.

With a shared vision and ambition, BGU and TLG aim to extend transformative educational opportunities to learners less well represented in higher education. This commitment will widen participation and ensure the delivery of effective, high quality, student-focused education. This will provide a strong foundation for the partnership to flourish.

Professor Karen Stanton, Vice-Chancellor at BGU, says: “BGU is excited and proud to be working with The Language Gallery as its latest educational collaborative partner. Both institutions share the same visions and ambitions of extending transformative educational opportunities to learners less well represented in higher education. TLG’s and BGU’s strong commitment to both widening participation and effective, high quality, student-focused education will ensure a confident foundation from which the partnership will grow and be successful.

There is a strong alignment of both institutions’ learning, teaching and assessment approaches and practices, as well as student support policies. This provides both TLG and BGU with the mutual assurance that this partnership is built on transparency and understanding, which enables our prospective students to flourish.”

Bharat Vaswani, Transformation and Strategic Partnerships Director at Global University Systems, said: “This is truly a transformative time for TLG. The partnership will enable us to expand the Certificate of Higher Education provision beyond London to Birmingham and Nottingham. We are delighted to work with BGU, sharing similar visions and ambitions and are absolutely confident of a highly successful partnership.”
