UPES launches India’s First Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality Legal Simulation Lab
In a major leap towards tech-integrated education, UPES’ School of Law inaugurated India’s first Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) Legal Simulation Lab. The lab was launched by Dr Subramanian Swamy, Former Minister of Law and Justice for the Government of India, marking a pioneering moment for legal education in the country.
This first-of-its-kind facility offers immersive courtroom simulations, empowering students to build critical legal skills such as argumentation, negotiation, and client counselling in a near-real environment. It also supports faculty development, with a focus on enhancing teaching through experiential tools.
With this initiative, UPES continues to lead in integrating emerging technologies into education, shaping the next generation of legal professionals to be innovative, empathetic, and industry ready.
