UE initiates Digital Bridge Project with prestigious universities from Kyiv
On Thursday 16 November, as part of its employability courses, the University of Europe for Applied Science’s Iserlohn campus brought together German UE students and peers from leading Ukrainian universities, including the Kyiv School of Economics, Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University, and Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University in Ivano Frankivsk. In the 'Digital Bridge Project. Approximately 45 students engaged in discussions on topics such as the rule of law, democracy, and fake news.
Christina Muzzu, UE lecturer in English and initiator of the exchange, said: "As the name suggests, with this initiative, we aim to build bridges at a time when the world is increasingly concerned about its democracy. Engaging with young people from Ukraine represents a unique exchange for our students in Germany. Their perspectives on current challenges provide us with valuable insights."
In addition to professional training, UE places special emphasis on the development of soft skills. The programme offers students from both countries the opportunity to strengthen their critical thinking, improve their English language skills, and employ pedagogical methods such as Design Thinking, Iceberg Models, or Transformation Mapping."
