Award-Winning DJ shares career insights at London College of Contemporary Music’s Music Box

This Monday, DJ Paulette, the award-winning and trailblazing DJ, BBC Broadcaster, and author with residences at the iconic Hacienda, Glitter Box, and beyond, gripped an audience at the London College of Contemporary Music’s Music Box.
Winner of the DJ Mag Top 100 Lifetime Achievement Award, DJ Paulette, highlighted that in her early career, she was truly the only female playing house at huge festivals around the world, including Glastonbury. Currently, most house artists are male.
She admitted that she had lost her mojo for a while and stepped back but said that it was not something people should be afraid of, claiming that you should listen to feedback and not shy away from failure.
DJ Paulette also highlighted the importance of the production as a skillset our students should lean into. She ended the night by reading an excerpt from her new book.
