LCCM hosts January Open Day

On Saturday 20 January, London College of Contemporary Music opened the Music Box doors for an exciting open day. The event welcomed prospective students and music enthusiasts for a day filled with music, workshops and the vibrant energy that defines the LCCM community.

A highlight of the event was the electrifying performance by LCCM students' live band. The talented musicians took the stage, captivating the audience with a diverse repertoire that showcased the school's commitment to nurturing a wide range of musical styles and genres. From soulful ballads to high-energy rock, the bands left a lasting impression of the musical prowess cultivated within the LCCM community.

Daniela Magni, Youth Music Officer at LCCA, said: “The open day wasn't just about the performances, but an opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the world of music through engaging workshops.”

Attendees had the chance to participate in hands-on sessions led by LCCM faculty members, offering a taste of the unique experiences the college provides. From playing live, to interactive discussions on the future of the music industry, the workshops provided valuable insights into the dynamic and innovative curriculum.

A hallmark of LCCM is its commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. The open day exemplified this ethos, as students, faculty and visitors alike came together to celebrate the power of music and creativity. Prospective students had the opportunity to interact with current students and faculty, gaining valuable insights into the unique culture and educational philosophy of LCCM.

As the day came to a close, it was evident that it was a resounding success. The day was a hit, not only as a platform for showcasing the incredible talent, but also as an invitation for aspiring musicians and creatives to become part of a community that values artistic expression, collaboration and pushes the boundaries of music.
