LCCM hosts globally recognised TEDx event at The Music Box
The London College of Contemporary Music recently hosted its first-ever TEDx event at The Music Box, bringing the globally recognised platform to its campus for an evening of idea exploration, performance and thoughtful conversation.
TEDxLCCM: Beyond Survival brought together students, academics and artists to explore music’s role beyond performance, positioning it as something that shapes how we connect, learn and understand the world.
Across five talks, speakers from across LCCM explored themes spanning songwriting, psychology, collaboration and composition, challenging traditional narratives around music and how it is experienced. The line-up included Associate Deans Daniel Green and Lisbee Stainton, music psychologist Xiaoxiao Hou and composer Christopher Barnett.
The evening also featured LCCM alum and The Voice UK winner Annatoria, whose contribution brought an artist’s perspective into the programme while underscoring the lasting connections between LCCM and its growing alumni.
