Global University Systems commits $450,000 to Turkey Earthquake Relief & Recovery
We were deeply saddened by the tragedy our friends, partners, and students have suffered in Turkey. As a team who works actively in the region, we are compelled to provide any immediate assistance we can. As educators, we are prepared to invest and provide long-term support for the recovery of this beautiful nation.
Firstly, we are donating directly to aid the ongoing rescue efforts with Ahbap to provide shelter, food, and medical supplies to those in need right now.
To support them in the medium term, we are providing direct financial aid in the form of a year of living expenses to select Turkish people identified by our agent partners.
For our long-term plan, we need your help. An alliance of Global University Systems institutions across Canada and Germany is offering over $400,000 of full scholarships to applicants personally affected by the earthquake.
Our goal is to find talented individuals to benefit from higher education and who plan to reinvest their new skills into rebuilding in Turkey.
