LCCM Principal attends Creative Industries Garden Party at Buckingham Palace
On Wednesday 15 May, Anthony Hamer-Hodges, Principal of the London College of Contemporary Music, was invited to attend a Creative Industries Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.
The event was hosted by King Charles III and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport to recognise the creative industries, which is the fastest growing sector of the British economy, employing 2.4 million people.
The star-studded gathering at Buckingham Palace featured a range of celebrities including Maya Jama, Television Presenter and DJ, Louis Theroux, Journalist and Broadcaster, Clara Amfo, Radio 1 DJ, and well-known actors including David Harewood, Simon Callow and Jared Harris, the latter whose roles have included Lane Pryce in the drama series Mad Men.
Anthony Hamer-Hodges said: “LCCM is the top provider by graduate outcomes of all the contemporary music colleges and is grateful to UK Music Ltd and DCMS for recognising our contribution to the vibrant creative industries.”
