GUS Hosts 3rd Edition of Academic Summit 2024: Introduces GUS Institute Fellowship

Global University Systems recently concluded its highly anticipated 3rd GUS Academic Summit on March 12th and 13th, 2024. Co-organised by Arden University and The University of the Law, the event took place at ULaw’s Bloomsbury campus. Themed “Unleashing the Potential of Digital Learning to Future Education: Innovation, Employability, Inclusion, and Sustainable Citizenship,” the summit delved into crucial topics shaping the future of education.
During the event, GUS introduced an innovative initiative – the GUS Institute Fellowship. Designed to harness the collective expertise of GUS’s academic community, this fellowship aims to lead international, innovative, and impactful projects across the GUS network. During the summit, the 25 fellows, selected from various institutions within the GUS ecosystem, were recognised and will work on projects ranging from teaching innovation to impactful research initiatives, all geared towards elevating GUS as a global leader in education innovation.
The selection process for GUS Fellows involved nominations from member institutions, followed by a meticulous review by a board comprising representatives from Arden University, The University of Law, and University of Europe for Applied Sciences. The fellows, distinguished for their ability to inspire colleagues and drive innovative projects to fruition, will serve a three-year term initially, with the possibility of extension based on project outcomes.
Professor Maurits van Rooijen, Chief Academic Officer, Global University Systems said: “As we embark on this exciting journey with the launch of the GUS Institute Fellowship, we are empowering our academic community to lead the charge in driving innovation and shaping the future of education. The fellowship programme embodies our commitment to excellence, collaboration, and impactful change, positioning GUS as a global leader in transformative learning experiences.” –
