Bass Guitarist Drew McConnell visits LCCM’s Music Box
Drew McConnell, bass guitarist for Liam Gallagher of Oasis and Babyshambles, the band formed by Pete Doherty during a hiatus from the Libertines, amongst others, recently gave a masterclass to students at the Music Box.
During his masterclass, he provided an interview speaking on his career and how he got started in music, answered questions from the engaged student audience as well as leading a practical workshop where students joined him on stage to play through some pre-selected songs and get hands on feedback. The mix of insights and practical demonstrations offered a well-rounded and interesting experience for everyone in attendance.
“This was a great chance for students to play with a top professional whilst gaining tips and advice they can take away to complement their learning as well as having LCCM associated with great players,” said Nikki Camilleri, Careers & Industry Liaison Manager at LCCM.
