BSBI organises session as part of UN’s 10th Annual STI Forum for the SDGs
The Berlin School of Business and Innovation, in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Private Universities and Blitz India Media, hosted a session titled: ‘Partnerships for Global Degree – Towards Affordable Higher Education and Flexible Student Mobility’ as part of the UN’s 10th Annual STI Forum for the SDGs.
Moderated by Professor Shiv K Tripathi, Dean at BSBI, the session featured esteemed panellists from the UN, UNESCO, the University of Roehampton and the Association of African Universities, along with Professor Kyriakos Kouveliotis, Provost of BSBI Berlin and Chief Academic Officer, GGG, Germany. The panel discussed the need for global academic credit standardisation, challenges from varied credit systems and the impact on student mobility and affordability.
Key recommendations included developing International Academic Credits, piloting dual credit systems and creating open-source platforms for credit conversion.
Dr Tripathi said: “This side event was a vital step towards collective action. With the right implementation, we can transform global higher education accessibility.”
