On Thursday 16 May, Cyndi McLeod, CEO of GUS Canada, Mitchell Gropper, Chancellor of University Canada West, Komil Mamajanov, Vice-President of Strategic Development at University Canada West, and Amar Bajwa, Director of Community Engagement at University Canada West, attended the first ACTION Pacific event in Vancouver hosted by the Canadian Jewish Political Affairs Committee (CJPAC).
The inaugural ACTION Pacific event, which took special pride in honouring the great contributors to the community through Impact Awards, brought together a rich networking tapestry of participants including business executives, philanthropists, active community figures and elected representatives from all primary political parties and various government levels.
GUS Canada’s and UCW’s participation in the ACTION Pacific event reflects their dedication to Canada’s democratic process and commitment to encouraging active political participation within local and broader Canadian communities.
Cyndi McLeod said: “The CJPAC event is a testament to the power of community and the importance of active engagement in our democratic process. It also highlights the critical role of supporting young people who are passionate about participating in and shaping our country through multi-partisan networking and democracy.”
