GUS Medical and Veterinary Schools partner with APPNA expanding opportunities for aspiring healthcare professionals
GUS Medical and Veterinary Schools have partnered with the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA) to expand educational opportunities for aspiring medical and veterinary students. This collaboration was highlighted at a recent conference in Oklahoma, where GUS Canada CEO Cyndi McLeod spoke.
Cyndi McLeod emphasised the importance of the partnership, which aims to address the global healthcare worker shortage by offering Pakistani students increased access to comprehensive medical education, clinical rotations in the US (core and electives) and Canada (select electives), and mentorship from experienced faculty.
Cyndi McLeod said: “Through this collaboration, we’re creating pathways for students to become the next generation of skilled healthcare professionals.”
Gülce Kaya, Director of Admissions and Operations, Azim Amin, Associate Director of Admissions, and James Ritchie, Regional Associate Director of Admissions – South for GUS Medical and Veterinary Schools, also attended the conference in Oklahoma.
