GUS Medical & Veterinary Schools Leadership attend The PIE LIVE Conference
From Monday 13 to Tuesday 14 November, members of GUS Medical and Veterinary Schools Leadership Team attended The PIE Live North America event in Boston. Gerald Wargo, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Enrollment, and Chuck Furey, Executive Director of Business Development in Canada, jointly delivered an impactful presentation on ‘The World Needs More Doctors’ and addressed the pressing global healthcare challenges. During their presentation, they explained compelling statistics highlighting the shortage of available seats for aspiring medical students in the U.S. and Canada and how GUS Medical Schools are leading the way to combat this issue.
Also in attendance was Cyndi McLeod, Chief Executive Officer of GUS Canada, who spoke on a panel titled ‘North American Neighbours: Student Flow Trends from Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean’.
Gerald Wargo reflected on the experience: “Attending the PIE Live in Boston was a wonderful experience.
