LCCM announces formal partnership with EFG London Jazz Festival
The London College of Contemporary Music was recently announced as a valued partner of the EFG London Jazz Festival, with LCCM’s Music Box being an official venue in the festival lineup. Last week, LCCM attended the EFG London Jazz Festival launch at Lafayette, where it was given a prominent “shout out” in opening speeches.
The Music Box will host a range of events for the EFG London Jazz Festival from the 15th-24th November. They will feature artists, including Thad Jones Centennial and the 6-piece band Hoos Collective. A panel with Women in Jazz will feature guests including artist China Moses, who performed on the launch event night.
Nikki Camilleri said: “We have programmed a range of activities as part of the partnership, including a full-stage performance from students and alumni at Southbank Centre right before the festival’s Opening Gala celebration.”
The partnership also offers students tickets to the festival, behind-the-scenes sound check experiences and further performance opportunities at The Barbican.
