LCCM welcomes MOBO nominee to the Music Box to perform with students
To celebrate the end of term and the final days of 2024, LCCM welcomed MOBO Award 2024 nominee, Alt Blk Era, to perform at LCCM’s Music Box venue. They played three songs and then participated in a rap jam event with students.
The event provided an open space for the rappers and vocalists to showcase their talent, starting with a performance from ALT BLK ERA, the teenage sister duo, clashing rock, rap and electronica. Having played shows at Glastonbury and Boomtown Festival, the duo has been described by Kerrang as ‘the new artists redefining alternative music’. After their performance, they joined the vocal jam with Tarju Le’Sano on decks.
Caribbean Fusion chef, Blair Grillz, attended the event to make affordable food for the students adding to the party vibe.
Nikki Camilleri, Industry Liaison at LCCM said: “Having opportunities to directly engage with talent and collaborate with them whilst also celebrating LCCM and all the work done in 2024 is a great way to build morale.”
