The University of Law awarded Bronze Race Equality Charter from Advance HE
The University of Law was recently awarded the Race Equality Charter Bronze Award from Advance HE. The Race Equality Charter aims to help universities and research institutes in their work to improve the representation, progression and success of Black, Asian and minority ethnic people in higher education.
The University applied as part of a new process for small, specialist and research institutions (SSRI) and are one of only three SSRI’s to have been awarded a Race Equality Charter.
Sarah Mohammad-Qureshi, Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at the University, said: “I am incredibly proud The University of Law has been awarded the Race Equality Charter Bronze Award. This is in recognition of the collaborative work and commitment across the University to ensure a fair and equitable place of work and study to all, irrespective of race or ethnicity.”
