The University of Law Student Support team wins Diversity and Inclusivity Award
The University of Law Student Support staff recently won the National Association of Disability Practitioners (NADP) Disability and Inclusivity Award for a Service or Team. The award, designed to recognise a team that has shown excellent teamwork, student focus and innovation in supporting students, was presented at the NADP annual conference held last week.
The NADP highlighted The University of Law’s flexibility, innovation and deep commitment to inclusion, commenting: “The team were recognised for leading change internally through a university-wide staff conference focusing on inclusive academic practice and the disability awarding gap, whilst delivering highly personalised and inclusive services to disabled students.”
The team were also commended for their research activity, which includes benchmarking minimum adjustments for disabled students and supporting students not just in their studies, but also in placements and employment.
