UCW ranks #1 among private Canadian institutions for research publications in 2024
University Canada West is thrilled to announce that the results of a recent research publication survey show that UCW has achieved a remarkable milestone.
The survey, conducted through Scopus, one of the world’s most reputable scientific indexing databases, has revealed that UCW ranked first in Canada in terms of the number of Scopus-indexed publications among all private universities and colleges in Canada for the year 2024 – with a total of 109 publications.
“This achievement clearly indicates that our strategic focus on building a research-informed academic culture is delivering tangible results,” said Dr Bashir Makhoul, UCW President and Vice-Chancellor. “It reflects UCW’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, innovation and the impact of our faculty’s groundbreaking contributions to knowledge and is a testament to the dedication and passion of our scholars, who continue to shape the future of research across disciplines.”
