UE Campus Dubai Team meets Berlin’s Vice Mayor in Dubai
On Wednesday 18 October, Professor Dr Maurits van Rooijen, President of the University of Europe for Applied Sciences’ Dubai Campus and Chief Academic Officer of GGG, and Professor Dahlia Mahmoud and Dr Mustafa Al Helwi, UE colleagues, visited GITEX, the world’s largest trade fair for tech and startups.
They met with Franziska Giffey, Vice Mayor of the city of Berlin and Senator for Economic Affairs. As part of a delegation trip with representatives from Berlin’s business and education sectors, they gathered information about the latest industry developments at the fair.
Professor Dr Maurits van Rooijen said: “With our new campus in Dubai, we are at the innovation and tech hotspot. This was demonstrated during the visit of Berlin’s Vice Mayor and Senator for Economic Affairs, Energy, and Businesses, Franziska Giffey. She brought along numerous Berlin entrepreneurs who were eager to learn about the latest developments in the industry, especially in AI. When Berliners come to Dubai, UE is already there!”
