UE Dubai and BSH Middle East launch Green Genius Challenge
This week, the University of Europe for Applied Sciences Dubai, together with BSH Middle East, launched the Green Genius Challenge: Eco-Appliance Edition. This competition invites students aged 16 to 18 to design energy- and water-saving household appliances. With this initiative, UE Dubai aims to advance its sustainability goals and support young talents in creating innovative, eco-friendly solutions. It is also offering the top three entries scholarships for UE Dubai and Bosch appliances.
The jury comprised renowned experts including His Highness Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Ali Al Nuaimi, known as the Green Sheikh, who emphasised: “Our future lies in the hands of youth”, expressing his excitement to see the creative and resource-efficient ideas of the participants.
The awards ceremony will take place in February 2025, coinciding with the UAE’s National Environment Day. Professor Dr Eman Abukhousa, Jury Chair and Professor for Information Technology & Communication at UE Dubai, highlighted the importance of sustainable innovation and supporting young talents who can drive real change.
