Universal Music Artist Ayelle visits LCCM’s Music Box
In November, songwriter and artist Ayelle visited the London College of Contemporary Music’s iconic Music Box to share tips with students and advise them on things to watch out for, from getting enough sleep to learning to say no when commitments become too much.
She also shared her experiences with supportive managers and how living in music hubs around the world, such as Los Angeles, New York, and London, affected her. The students were very engaged, asked questions and took photos with her after the session.
The session was organised in the lead-up to Mental Health Awareness Day to give students a well-rounded view of all they need to consider when choosing a career in music.
Nikki Camilleri, Industry Liaison at LCCM, said: “Making sure we address mental health and bring in guest students who can relate to their experiences ensures students get a well-rounded view of these topics while encouraging them to take care of their health as they grow their careers.”
