University Canada West forms partnership with Beijing City University
During his recent visit to China, Dr Bashir Makhoul, President and Vice-Chancellor of University Canada West, was hosted by Dr Liu Lin, President of Beijing City University (BCU). Based on mutual interests, both parties agreed to sign a partnership Memorandum of Understanding.
Founded in 1984, BCU is a private institution with three campuses, 12 schools, over 100 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and more than 20,000 students.
The two leaders discussed educational cooperation, student exchange programmes and progression opportunities. Dr Makhoul highlighted the importance of international collaboration in addressing global challenges.
This agreement highlights UCW’s commitment to building respectful, cooperative relationships within the global academic community.
