University Canada West celebrated its 20th anniversary in China in September, marking two decades of success and global growth.
The event attracted over 130 senior executives from Chinese universities and market experts from key recruitment partners, highlighting UCW’s leadership in fostering international partnerships.
Key events included the Sino-Canada University Presidents’ Forum and the Study Abroad Forum, where leaders discussed collaboration and recruitment opportunities. Dr Bashir Makhoul, President and Vice-Chancellor of UCW, emphasised the university’s commitment to global cooperation, while Dr Annie Lu, Vice President of China at Global University Systems, promoted collaborative programmes for Chinese students.
The Consul General of China in Vancouver sent a congratulations video and emphasised growing educational ties between the two countries.
This event reinforced UCW’s role in the Canada-China education landscape, paving the way for new partnerships and future growth.
