University Canada West signs MoU with City University Ajman
Dr Bashir Makhoul, President and Vice-Chancellor of University Canada West, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dr Imran Khan, President of City University Ajman (CU), with both universities expressing interest in staff and student exchange as well as academic and research collaborations.
CU is licensed and accredited by the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates. The university is one of the few institutes in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) that is a member of the International Student Exchange Programme, a Washington DC-based organisation. It offers students the opportunity to study abroad at over 300 universities worldwide through its student exchange programme. CU is also a member of AACSB International.
Dr Bashir Makhoul said: “We are delighted to partner with a young yet ambitious and credible university like CU in the GCC region. UCW shares a lot of similarities with CU and we both have made remarkable achievements in our respective countries.”
