University of Niagara Falls Canada platinum sponsor for Pride Niagara festival
In June, the University of Niagara Falls Canada announced it will serve as a Platinum Sponsor of the Pride Niagara festival, a month-long celebration of Niagara’s sexual and gender-diverse community and its supporters.
Through this sponsorship, UNF will participate in Pride Niagara events in the region and work towards building stronger bonds with the wider Niagara community.
UNF will have a booth at the Pride in the Park event in downtown St. Catharines and will be presenting sponsors of Pride Niagara’s Hieeee Tea. This event will allow guests the opportunity to pose questions to local LGBTQ+ activists, allies, personalities and political figures sitting at the head table – including a representative from UNF.
Enzo De Divitiis, Chair of the Pride Niagara Board of Directors, said: “Queer identity is not something inherently visible through a professional and educational lens. The sponsorship of the University of Niagara Falls Canada, allows Pride Niagara’s initiatives of equitable, sustainable and accountable thinking to flourish.”
