UPES and The University of Law sign MoU to launch Centre of Excellence
UPES and The University of Law have signed a landmark MoU to launch a Centre of Excellence (CoE) to advance legal education, research, and global academic exchange.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr Sharad Mehra, Regional CEO of Asia & Australia and GUS Global Services (GGS), and Professor Peter Crisp, Deputy Vice Chancellor of The University of Law and Dr Abhishek Sinha, Head of International Affairs and Dean at UPES School of Law, amongst other senior leaders of the partnership universities.
Professor Peter Crisp, Deputy Vice-Chancellor at The University of Law, said: “We are excited to join forces with UPES in building a collaborative academic environment. This initiative represents our shared commitment to innovation in legal education, with an emphasis on cross-border learning and ethical research.”
The collaboration focuses on cutting-edge areas like artificial intelligence and ethics, and will drive research, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses, faculty exchange, and student mobility programmes. The CoE will also support start-up incubation and satellite centres to nurture innovation and entrepreneurship. The alliance aims to bridge the gap between academia and real-world challenges through co-delivered academic programmes and collaborative research.
