UPES faculty member wins prestigious Careers360 Faculty Research Award
On Friday 6 October, UPES faculty member Dr Ashish Mathur was conferred with a Careers360 Faculty Research Award 2023 for his outstanding work.
The second edition of Careers360’s Faculty Research Awards was held at the Auditorium of the Prime Ministers’ Museum and Library, Teen Murti House. The awards also saw the release of a white paper on ‘Research in Indian Academic Institutions and Top 1,000 Researchers of India’. A total of 81 research scholars from across the country were awarded at the event.
The awards were given away by Devusinh Chauhan, the Union Minister of State for Communications, who was the Chief Guest at the event. Dr T.G. Sitharam, Chairman of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), also attended the event as the Guest of Honour.
The research scholars were shortlisted based on their publication citation counts and h-index, a metric for evaluating the cumulative impact of an author’s scholarly output and performance. So far, 74 of Dr Mathur’s papers have been published in journals and he has an h-index of 15.
