GUS Canada announces appointment of new Chief Operating Officer
On Monday 14 August, GUS Canada announced the appointment of Glenn Craney as the inaugural Chief Operating Officer (COO). Glenn joins GUS Canada from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) where he served as Chief Strategy Officer and brings over 25 years of experience in higher education, including roles as Assistant Deputy Minister, Postsecondary Education at the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities, and as the founding Executive Director of the Ontario Council on Articulation and Transfer (ONCAT). His comprehensive understanding of the higher education sector is bolstered by his academic background, with a master’s degree in economics from the University of Toronto and an honours bachelor’s degree from Western University.
As a member of the Executive Team, Glenn Craney will play a pivotal role in shaping GUS Canada’s organisational strategy as well as overseeing overall operations. The COO is entrusted with ensuring that GUS Canada and its affiliate institutions have the processes and systems to support an international organisation poised for exponential growth. Glenn Craney will be at the helm of formulating and executing overarching operational strategies, solidifying GUS Canada’s future trajectory.
